I'd rather have them focus on making the PS3 version even better than it already is.

Funny. I've developed some of the most memorable multiplayer memories playing this game.
I for one, find Desmond and the modern day story just as interesting as the events in the past. Sure, things aren't presented on a silver platter for you, but I still value his character and can't wait to play him in AC3.
